Our Classes
The kids’ art classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, 4-5 pm, in a home studio in the southeast Melbourne suburb of Chadstone and are suitable for primary-aged children.
Each Term, the children progress through various styles and techniques of painting and drawing, building their knowledge of artists, styles and mediums.
Art Classes Australia is unique in its teachings, allowing the children to help guide the curriculum. Art is such a beautiful way to express yourself, and we want the children’s art education to be fluid and not boxed into set ideals. We discuss what the children want to learn and work with them to create the following Term’s plan. This gives them the power to learn in a very creative environment, not just with the art they create but also with how they think.

TERM 2, 2024 – SCULPTURE (CLAY)
For the first time, we will be working with clay in Term 2. Using air-dry clay, we will create characters, beads, bowls and whatever our imaginations can come up with. Once dry, the creations will be painted and varnished.
Once purchased, you will receive an enrolment form to download, fill out and bring to the first class, or email to artclasses@sharonwestinshaw.com.au ***I MUST have these filled out and returned by new and returning students.***

Our Workshops
The adult workshops are held on weekday evenings, 6.30-9.30pm or weekends, at a time that suits you, in a home studio in the south-east Melbourne suburb of Chadstone.
Each workshop is tailored to suit your needs and requests. The workshops available are: drawing, acrylic painting, watercolour or mixed media. Each participant will take home 1-2 finshed masterpieces.
As a bonus, each workshop includes a cheese patter and a complimentary glass of bubbles or morning tea platter and bottle of juice.
There is a maximum of 10 participants with a minimum requirement of 4 to run the workshop.
These workshops are perfect for hen’s days, girl’s nights, work get togethers, client gifts and more!

Adult art workshops – 3 hours
Available Wednesday-Friday 6.30pm-9.30pm or from 9.00am or 2.00pm Weekends
$90pp (minimum of 4 participants)
Get a group together and come and get creative!
During the workshop you will be guided in creating 1-2 artworks in pencil, watercolour, acrylic or mixed media to keep as a reminder of the creativity you have within.
