The kids’ art classes are held on Tuesday afternoons, 4-5 pm, in a home studio in the southeast Melbourne suburb of Chadstone and are suitable for primary-aged children.
Each Term, the children progress through various styles and techniques of painting and drawing, building their knowledge of artists, styles and mediums.
Art Classes Australia is unique in its teachings, allowing the children to help guide the curriculum. Art is such a beautiful way to express yourself, and we want the children’s art education to be fluid and not boxed into set ideals. We discuss what the children want to learn and work with them to create the following Term’s plan. This gives them the power to learn in a very creative environment, not just with the art they create but also with how they think.

Tuesday 21 April – Tuesday 23 June (10 weeks) $350
Colour Theory with Acrylic Paint
This term, we will be delving into colour – how they work together, how to mix and match, and how our choices can change how our paintings look. Working with acrylic paint, the kids will paint one painting every two weeks using monochromatic, complementary, split-complementary, analogous and neutral colours.
